FYI

I survived my first day of patient contact/responsibility in clinical! lol. We were each assigned a patient this morning and we were responsible for getting them up, ready, fed, all that fun stuff today. I was super excited when I found out that I was assigned along with a gal that I have actually done a lot of study and lab practicals with, so we kinda know how each other works. It was nice because while I was getting one gal ready she was making beds, and while she was getting another one ready I was cleaning up and transporting residents off to breakfast or lunch. Nothing to major, and a nice way to break me in.

I am actually looking forward to next week a little bit more, because we have our assignments already so we got to go in and meet our patients for next week, and we've already had a chance to glance at their charts. So I feel a bit more prepared. Although... I am a bit apprehensive... I mean it appears that for 2 weeks in a row I'll have a patient that is pretty self sufficient, so I'm waiting because something tells me to enjoy it now because it certainly won't last. :)
