Look Out!

I think anyone who knows me, know's I'm not a yeller. I don't loose my temper to the point of screaming, I may get heated, I may get animated... but I never yell or throw things. Well... until today.

I took the day off work and waited patiently for the Verizon guy to show up. I missed my sons Christmas sing in music class, I shoveled my driveway in a snow storm so the guy could actually pull in, and I waited patiently. I called at 10am to tell them I hadn't received the call at 8am they said I'd be getting but they said not to worry the guy would be coming between 1 and 5pm. So I cleaned my house and read Twilight... and waited.... and waited.....and waited. At 5pm I called again to let them know I hadn't heard anything and they said not to worry the guy would be there before 7pm. They assured me that he would show up, that they had talked to dispatch and that I was to wait... patiently.

So I did.

Then came 630pm. I called and stated I hadn't heard from the guy and I wondered what was up. They called dispatch, only to inform me that all techs were gone home, and that I did not answer the phone when the tech called me. I calmly, but firmly, stated that there was NO phone call ever made to my house, that I was sitting on the couch all day long reading my book and waiting for his call, and that never, not even once did he call. So the guy put me on hold to see what he could do. He came back after several minutes and said they would have to reschedule because there was no one available now.

It was here that I lost it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I yelled into the phone. UUUUHHHUHHHH! I STAYED HOME ALL DAY WITHOUT PAY, I MISSED MY SONS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM, AND I SAT MY ASS ON THE COUCH WAITING FOR THIS GUY AND NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT HE'S NOT COMING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME, ARE YOU FRICKIN KIDDING ME???? UNACCEPTABLE. FIX IT!

The guy kinda was silent for a minute and then said he'd see what he could do. He came back and gave me the same story, to which I proceeded to yell that it was before 7pm, and that I was told the techs were out until 7pm and he needed to get a tech to my house nooooooooooooow. (And I totally hissed the nooooooooooow part) He said he couldn't and I told him to put me in touch with Dispatch, a supervisor or someone who could fix it. He said that person was him. I pointed out that obviously it wasn't and he'd better find me someone and find me someone fast. He put in touch with the complaint department who asked me if.... I COULD CALL BACK IN AN HOUR! I yelled at her for a minute and she put me right back to the tech department where I started.

A poor unfortunate soul named Eric answered and I began in a monotoned voice. "Eric.... I have had a VERY bad day." I explained the situation and then said... "You need to fix this, you need to fix this now. I know it's not your fault, but I'm so incredibly angry I can't see straight. Fix this.... Nooooooooooooooooooow!" (Yup... that was me hissing again)

Anyway Eric tried to fix it and couldn't so he promised me he would sent someone out again tomorrow between 3 and 5pm. We shall see.... we shall see. It was ugly though, really it was. I was yelling and F-Bombs were dropping like we were in Beirut. It was bad. So bad, that my son covered his ears and said "MOM, you're being too loud!" I'm not proud... but it was bad, and I have never, EVER been that angry in my life. I seriously wanted to just punch the closest thing to me. It was bad.

I can't wait for tomorrow.... if they guy doesn't show, I'll be beating down the local Verizon door! lol.

**sigh** only me... only me...
