I am proud of myself. I have managed to make two major steps in my life today. They may not seem major to you, and you probably won't get it, but I'm putting it down now, so that when I come back here in ten years to see where I was at on this day, I'll remember. :)
Feat Number One:
I have been unable to even look at a particular CD, let alone listen to it without bursting into tears. Today, for the first time in TWO YEARS I, not only listened to the CD but put it on my mp3 player, and managed to do so without shedding a single tear. Sure I'm all morose now, but tears be damned, this my friends is a major, major thing. Trust me.
Feat Number Two:
The boys room is finished. This may seem like nothing, since I've been talking about it for two weeks, but there was a reason why I was putting off doing the room. When I first moved in here, I think it was a denial thing. This situation is temporary, maybe I'll find a better house, or maybe things will work out with the ex or.... (whatever, fill in the blank) But in doing the room I feel I have accomplished something because I am accepting where I am at in life. I am putting down roots where I am, and I am completely happy and content in this place in my life. And believe me, a year an a half ago I couldn't necessarily say that.
It's all about moving on, right? Woohoo me!
