A Few Weeks Late....

.....But here none the less.



This is the cookie that helped me win the cookie contest at our family fourth of July bash in Houghton Lake.


I explained that it was a patriotic statement really. I mean my clown has no arms. So he's disabled. But I wanted to show that America is excepting of all cultures, and people. Even if you're a clown with no arms, you can still enjoy the fireworks on the Fourth of July.... God Bless America!!! (I then broke out into the Star Spangled Banner..... and yeah... I won! Take that FRANKIE!)







This is the Aztek, all pimped out for Redneck Bash 'O8!

You'll notice this year, I hung paper lanterns from the back, AND placed a yard stake off to the side with an American flag on it, that said.... "Welcome" Because.... I do like people to know they're welcome.

This is me collecting on the dues people owed me for using my grill.

We were short a grill this year, and it just so happened that working at the Big K I had bought a cheap little charcoal ditty a few weeks earlier. So I brought it along, and the boys grilled the food, but when all was done I made sure everyone knew that if they ate something off the grill they had to kiss the grill owner. They complied..... or puked up what they ate. Either or.

These are the matching flower pots we decorated at Family Fourth of July.

Why my family can't do anything simple is beyond me, but not only did we have cookie decorating time, but we had arts and crafts time as well. And as much as I hate to admit it, I Looooooved this project. The boy and I decorated our pots, and planted African Violets in them. So we are good to go.

Family bonding at it's best! :)
