add on to my jenny post (and by the way, I can't believe I forgot this one because it's one of the MOST important things you should know about me :) ....)
#42... Soldiers, when they're in uniform ALWAYS make me cry. Doesn't matter if they're just hanging out at a soccer match, or traipsing around the grocery store, I'll cry. (Which presents and interesting dilemma considering that I live in a military town) I'll cry because I'm sooo proud, and because they defend our country, they leave their families, they know what they have to do, and they do it. And they're just like you or me. It's my cousin, my uncle and every other family member or friend that I know that have joined the military. It's my girlfriends husband, it's my best friends fiance` it's the party animal in high school that signed up to pay his way through college, and my co-workers son. They're just goofy guys (and gals) who are complete and total hero's. They get paid shit, and yet they're out there. They're doing what they have to do to defend this country, and your freedom. They are out there for ME. To make sure that when I lie down at night I can know that my world is ok. It's ok if I want to speak my mind, burn my bra, and throw red paint on fur. They do it for me, and they do if for you. And most of the time they get no respect for it. And that my friend, is why they are true hero's. It sucks, it bites, and yet it needs to be done and they step up. Most of them at this point, are younger than me, and yet they're there... they're doing it, and I'm so proud... of all of them. And it makes me cry.
That, and they look DAMN good in uniform. :)
