So apparently everyone has backed out on going to the Def Leppard concert in Farwell this summer. It's some crazy outdoor festival and we were supposed to go for one day. There was a slew of us that was supposed to go. We were supposed to go for my sisters birthday. Well that, and I am desperately trying to revive the hair band era single handily. Aaaaaaannnnd I think there is no bigger 80's hair band fanatic than myself. I was pretty geeked about going. I mean come on, who doesn't want to hear Pour Some Sugar On Me live, at least once in their lives... shut up naysayers. :) And I'm afraid that if I don't go this will be the Billy Squire incident all over again. I wanted to go see Billy Squire and no one would go with me, it was not ONLY Billy Squire, hello, who doesn't love Stroke Me, Stroke Me, but it was BAD COMPANY as well. I mean Holy Water, good stuff, and I missed it. Only to find out 1 week later that my best friends cousins went. And I sooo would of went had I known that. So the question here is this... do Kerry and I still go, and risk the debauchery that could befall 2 helpless females in the midst of crazy drunk middle age rock and rollers, or do we suck it up and go, and trust in Kerry to kick ass if she needs to. I mean, I DID already buy my can of Aqua Net.... Hmmmm....
Not only that but were the HECK is Farwell anyway?

Please tell me you are kidding. Def Leppard has always rotted and they haven't gotten any better.
Big hair and fishnets should be left in the 80's or on the bedroom, but not on stage any more.
*Gag*
I think I just puked a little in my mouth thinking about them.
I am NOT kidding... You know you jammed to Def Leppard back in the day. Don't deny it.
I take it you won't be joining us either....
I'm not saying they're the best band ever, I'm just saying
I WANNA ROCK....
:) ooops... that was twisted sister wasn't it?
OK seriously RODMASTER. Who the heck are you. HOw DARE you insult Def Leppard. I LOVE def leppard. And if need be I will help just me revive the hair band era!!! :)
My girlfriend and I are going to see them at DTE in July.
Sweet!
Def is one of the all time greatest bands in the history of the world, unlike all the rap-shit Rodmaster listened to growing up.
Talk about puking...some dude rapping about the friggin B I B L E...*hurls*
I saw Bad Company back in the day. Foreigner and Styx are playing with Def, so it's going to rule!
Hey, Steph, this convo all sounds strange considering the first time I met you was in McDonald's in the early 90's and I was high and mighty about the sin of drums in music! You were with Eric Alma or something I was with Jay.
I was a Fun-damn-mentalist at the time.
Sheesh, glad those days are over.
*turns up the radio* *bangs head*
Waaaa???? McD's in the 90's???? Seriously??? I remember Jay and Eric coming to see me one New Years in Gaylord, and that was soooo awesome because pathetic little me was all alone for New Years--- though they didn't know that-- but... huh.... I'm sorry. I'm a looser.... Are you SURE that was me? And I'm sure if you were high and mighty about Drums, Eric was right there with you. I chatted with him a few months ago when I started back at church, and while, I like Eric... he about had me talked out of it! LOL.... He's a fundy through and through.
And yeah... I've always been a closet rocker. My dad had this video he made us watch about Rock and Roll and it's evils... I just liked the Twisted Sister Video on it.... :) Sooooo wrong. For Halloween this year, my sis-in-law, brother, and sister are going to do our best to be KISS or 80's rockers in general and take the kids out.
again... sooooo wrong! :) My son is going to need soooo much therapy.
And I forgot to mention.... I'm incredibly jealous that you're going to DTE to see Def Leppard.... and even more so that you ALREADY have seen Bad Company.
You suck
:)
