Christmas Cards...

I was waiting to see how many cards I got this year. I always enjoy getting Christmas cards, and reading the letters, looking at the pictures. It's fun, and I get it. I mean sometimes all you can manage is a picture and a letter once a year to your friends. I'm just happy I'm on the list. Anyway considering the "Big D" this year, I was curious as to how many cards I would actually get. Usually my archway is covered from 3ft up on either side with a double row across the top. (Hey it makes me feel popular. Yes, I should probably seek therapy for the simple fact that I receive validation from being on someones Christmas list, but mmmmmeeeeeh whatever.) lol.

After receiving one particularly cheery card... and with the help of a friend that was sitting here. I devised my own Christmas letter. I mean... if ANY year should be preserved in ink, I think this year is the one. I thought I'd share it, seeing that I have no money, so Christmas cards were nixed off the list this year.

Dear Friends...

What a year this has been. One for the history books for sure. Here's some highlights.

-I rang in the new year crying at a table in Applebee's. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

-Three weeks later I moved out of my house, and took up residence a few miles away.

-I discovered that there IS such a thing as the "Friday the 13th Deer" and it likes to eat my flowers.

-August 10th I was "Terminated" from my job.

-August 15th my divorce was final.

-In September or October I was diagnosed with high blood pressure.

On the up side

-I've learned that government cheese is a good thing.

-I've learned that welfare insurance, while it sucks, the copays are way less than normal insurance that you work hard for, and pay big bucks for. Grant it, you can't cut your arm off, and go to the ER... but you CAN go to the Dr and that's a plus.

-And I've learned that going back to school isn't so bad.

-Oh and I've learned that sometimes mothballs work wonders on the Friday the 13th Deer.

Bottoms up, here's to another great year!

Pass the beer.

LOL.

Ok... don't read into it. This post is not a cry for sympathy, it's funny. Enjoy it and laugh. That's what this post is about.
