Me to Jeanne- ... I just think we should think about it. I think we should think about getting on the library board. After all, isn't that being a good parent? Giving back to the community? Getting involved in the community we're raising our kids in? I just think it's a good idea, and I think you need to do it too.
Jeanne- FINE... I'll go to the advisory board meeting with you.
Me- Look at it this way. The advisory board for the Library is the fry cook position at McDonalds... and we're just holding out, getting our feet wet, and training for that big time head cashier position/volunteer position.
Jeanne- You're a dork? Why am I doing this again...
Me- Because... **Me doing my best Whitney Houston** it's for the children. And... I believe the children are the future. Teach them well, and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside... give them a sense of pride....
Jeanne- Seriously!!!!? **Looking at her husband** I swear, she's sober.
I know.... I'm a dork. This of course followed the conversation when I called her and wanted her to come over, and then proceeded to sing to her "Allll by myselfffffff.... Don't wanna be allllll by myselfffffff.... annnnnymooooore"
Simple things. They entertain me.

The library boards around here are an elected position. You actually have to get your name on the ballot and run for the position. Is that not how it is up there?
Nope... not up here. Crazy huh? YOu really need to leave the big city and come north. You can write your own ticket!!! LOL.
