Weekend In A Nutshell

Wow... I had a crazy, fun, exhausting weekend. I think I walked 110 miles. Ok... maybe not THAT many. But I did walk the marathon from 11am - 530pm (minus 1hr for the parade) then I went home, cat napped and got up on my feet again from 7pm-930pm....

Sunday I went to church with the boy, then we headed out to Mackinaw for our day of fun. I stopped in and saw my buddy Tom at the Pop Shop, he's doing well, although I just found out he went through chemo and radiation all winter due to lung cancer. Although he says it's his own "Damn fault" since he's smoked since he was 16. He's doing well though, and still trys to get me to buy more than I need. Typical. :)

The boy and I went fishing... ok.. it wasn't really fishing, but we pretended for a while, and he got to play in the water, so he was happy. I got to sit by the water and clear my head so I was happy. And I managed to keep the tears to a minimum, thank god for big sunglasses!

I have yet another sunburn. That's what I get for spending so much time outside this weekend. Actually it's not that bad. My aunt said it makes me look healthy, and not pasty white like I usually do. Yeah... pasty white.... those were her words to describe my everyday appearance... **sigh** It was funny. But this is the darkest I've been in YEARS because it's the most I've been outside in years. It's all good. Though the sunburn on the head is killing me when I wash my hair.

I did manage to take advantage of lots of free stuff on Friday night. It was fun, but then again... when isn't a free massage fun. (huh... in retrospect that last sentence sounds a little dirty doesn't it....) I bought yet another welcome sign at the craft show... I know... I don't need another... but I just like people to know they're welcome at my house. lol... Jenny... do you feel welcome? And ok.. it's a passive aggressive thing. The former spouse HATED my welcome signs. He said he would always say "I don't WANT people to feel welcome. I want them to GO AWAY." So I kept buying more welcome signs. I'm a dork.

OH and my boy came home!!!! Wooohooo. I think he could of cared less, but I missed him so I'm glad he's back. I've decided having a child is good for me, if for no other reason it makes me do something. Because while he was gone, I slept ALOT and sat on my butt ALOT. So see... having children is a great weight loss/workout regime.

I'll try to post my pics of the marathon, so that I can better explain the appeal later. :)

Oh, and my boyfriend Kevin texted me.... **sigh** he loves me.... he loves me not.....

lol
