Is It Wrong....

That I had the ex over to show me how to make chili. Jeanne came over and I was showing her around, showing off all the work I got done today. When we got the bedroom she whispered

"Sooo he's??????" and looked at me expectantly

"Showing me how to make chili." I said.

She gave me one of her horrified, yet wildly amused looks, and we moved to the next room.

"So... here's the bedside table grandma gave me, and that light will go here, that way should I ever entertain in this particular room again, each person has a bedside table and a light." I said, laughing. (If you don't know me well... you need to know that I say things like this just to make people laugh. And Jeanne.... she's so gullible... trust me... it was perfect!! PERFECT I say!) I wish I had the camera so that you could see the look she gave me.

"Shhhhh he's in the next room!!! You talk like that when he's in the next room???!!!" To which I laughed and said

"Jjjjjjyyyeaaah!"

Again, the horrified and wildly amused look.

Then we move to the kitchen, where the chili is cooking.

"Mmmmmm... wow that smells good!" She says.

"I know!"

"Wow.... that doesn't look like ANY chili I've ever had, or made! Oh My Gosh, it smells so good. Wow... look at that, no wonder you need him to make it!"

"I know!!!!"

Then she turns and says... "Wait a minute... You're drinking beer together too?!"

Me, looking at him "Uhhh... yeah. Just one. I gave him one for showing me how to make the chili, and I had one too. "

Jeanne "Aaaaaawwwwwkkkkwaaaaarddd!"

She ended up leaving. He left five minutes after that. (With a bowl of chili mind you!) But we did decide the next time he's here and she stops by, he's going to smack my behind once just for kicks, just to mess with her.

Seriously... you should of seen her face. It was priceless.

And for the record... there are days.... when he and I can get along. We just can't talk about.... well.... anything other than the boy. And we managed to do that tonight, and it was all good.

See... maturity. I posses some.

sometimes.

But most important.... I posses CHILI!!!!! :)
