Random Thought

Why, if I'm studying to be a nurse... do I need to know how to figure out the surface area of a cone? Sure they tell me I'll use this some day, but really? What kind of cone shaped patient will I get that I will need to figure out the surface area thereof, in order to treat? Isn't that what the MD is for?

You need to know the surface area of a cone in case a conehead comes into the ER and needs some sort of medicine applied to his head and you can only apply so much medicine per inch of head-area...
I don't know!
I need more caffeine.

You need to know how to find the perimeter of a rectangle in case you want to build a fence.

Or at least that's what they always told me in school!

Riiiiiight, cuz I'm always building fences when I'm at the hospital.

Here's an idea... if I wanted a fence couldn't I just go to Lowe's and tell the guy, HEY I want a fence and my yard is at my house, so come on over, measure it, and install it. I'll make Kool-aide.

Wouldn't that work? lol.

NO that wouldn't work cust remeber the koolaid comercials the koolaid guy always BURST through the fence!! So it would defeat the purpose of the guy coming over in the first place!!!!! :)
