Update

So it turns out, my sweet little cherub... is really, really sick. Poor guy. He started coughing when I put him to bed last night, around 7 and he started coughing, and by 10pm it was in his chest, really, really, deep in his chest. Then he was up in the middle of the night, coughing, but it sounded like barking like a dog, he was crying and telling me his throat hurt, etc etc. This morning... he had no voice. So I took him to the Dr. and it turns out he has a virus, but if he were an infant it would be RSV... or the RSV virus, or whatever. (Hey, back off, I'm not a nurse YET!) Anyway, since he's a "Big Kid" it's not serious, yet, but he does have a rattle in the Left Lower Lung, so they're watching it for pneumonia.

Poor guy. He's a trooper though, hasn't complained one bit. Even when he had to take the horrible tasting steroid med. He is nice and cuddly when he's sick though. So at least I get to rock him like when he was little. They tell me he can go to school in the morning, since he'll have been on an antibiotic for 24hrs... so I'm going to wake up and see how it goes. I'm a little worried because his side affects maybe, hyperactivity, crabbiness, diarrhea, and eating lots and lots. I'm at least going to wait until the morning to decide how much I want to put his poor teacher through. And to see if he has a voice, or temp. If he has a voice, then I may send him.

**sigh** all this in 24hrs. Crazy how fast that came on! At least it wasn't chicken pox! :)

Joel has a cough like that. Since a couple of days ago. I'm hoping that if I just wait for the parents to get home I won't have to deal with it.

I'm a bad sister.

Just me said...

LOL... ignore it, and maybe it will go away! :) Good plan.
