I find it amusing that whenever I run into someone and they find out I'm divorced, it seems every conversation follows this path....
"You're divorced?"
"Yup"
"Good."
"Uhhh... ok."
"So you dating?"
"No... I don't really have time for that crap."
"I give it _____ years. You're a good woman, I say you'll be dating in ______."
It's amusing because they are so sure of themselves. So sure that I'll be dating in a year an a half, two years, five.... whatever. So I smile, and say... sure.
So I'm thinking about becoming some sort of broker. Like I'm going to make a chart and start collecting money, and people can place their bets as to when they feel I will begin to
a) date
b) date seriously
c) move in with someone
d) get remarried
Of course I get a cut of all the money, and the winning. It's a way for me to pick up some extra cash, and it's a way for me to keep track of all this good advice.
Anyone in?
