NEW YEARS

I'm not sure how you spent your New Years Eve, but I think hands down I had the best one ever. Now mind you, I've rung in the new year in a variety of ways. There was the obligatory party at a bar, party at a friends, hang by yourself, hang with your spouses friends, hang with the church youth group, bla bla bla. I've done most all of it over the years... but this year was the BEST NEW YEARS EVER!!!!

Wanna know what I did?

I sat at my best friends house, and made casseroles (for the upcoming weeks) we kicked back, visited, drank a few beers, watched the boy play, and plucked an eyebrow or two. lol. Then I went home, gave the boy a kiss, and watched a little Angel. There was no big kiss at midnight, there wasn't any fireworks, noisemakers, or anything else. Just me... watching TV... shutting down the house, and going to bed. And you know what???

I loved it!

Ok, I'm not saying I'm not up for a party next year. But it was a perfect way to close out a tumultuous year, and bring in a bright shiny new one. It was low key, it was quiet, and it was perfect.

And I have 3 nights dinners in the freezer just waiting to be cooked.
