I am NOT! Usually cooking is not a big deal for me. I enjoy it, and for the most part I think I'm ok at it. I did win the "Best In Picnic" prize back in July for my dessert! lol. Anyway I put a roast in today-- I've been craving roast-- I went about my usual routine... Roast in the slow cooker, potatoes, carrots, and I turned it on high. Ok... I admit, usually I cook it on slow for hours, but I was side tracked this morning and I didn't get it in the cooker until noon. I figured noon-6pm... roast will be done, right? Well... at 7pm the roast was still not done!!!! I took it out, put it in the oven and continued to cook it for another hour, still not done. I swear this was like the bionic roast from Haties. It did NOT want to cook. I half expected it to jump out of the pot and B#$% slap me across the face.
Oh well... It's done now... sort of, the carrots however... not so much. I'm putting it in the fridge, and will attempt to reheat tomorrow. Wish me luck. OH and if you see me with a black eye... don't ask. It just means the roast won round 2.
