Algebra Instructor- "So has anyone ever heard of the Pythagorean Theorem??"
**Blank Stares from the class**
Algebra Instructor- "Anyone? Anyone?" (Picture the teacher from Ferris Buhlers Day Off)
Me- **shakes head**
Algebra Instructor- "Well it's basically saying A2 + B2= C2"
Me- "OOOOOH the Shelf Theory!!!!!!!!!"
Algebra Instructor-- "The what????"
Me- "The Shelf Theory. The handyman taught it to me last year when he was building my shelves."
Algebra Instructor-- "Ummmm... okay. Well from now on it's called the Pythagorean Theorem."
Me- "Really? Cuz Shelf Theory is way easier to remember."
Fellow Classmate-- "I agree it IS WAY easier to remember. And sounds less intimidating."
Me- "We could call it the Handyman Theorem."
Algebra Instructor-- "I think it's time for a break."
Hey... if nothing else, I leave an impression. :)

Yes you did, but was it a good impression..:-) They should change the text books.
You really had to be there for what I'm about to tell you to be funny, but trust me, it was funny!
So in high school, when I was in advanced math, we had to write a report and the teacher assigned us partners and a topic. I was given the Pythagorean Theorem and my partner was Keith who happened to be the best friend of a close friend of mine, Bob, who was also in the class. We got sent down to the library and put together our projects. When it was time to present them, Keith asked if he could do the beginning and the end and if I could do the middle. I said whatever and we started. Everything went fine until the very end. Keith had replaced our last slide, which was a picture of the Pythagorean Theorem, with "BOB IS GAY!" and the computer said, in that computer voice, BOB IS GAY!"
It was funny. And the pythagorean theorem reminded me of this.
Sorry I blogged on your blog. :(
You crack me up! Did you really say all that? Is Eric in that class cuzz he was probably totally impressed!
