So I watched the movie Jesus Camp tonight. Very interesting. I'm going to have to think on this one for a bit. However I can sum it up in one word... FLASHBACK!!! LOL... I swear I was that little girl. I remember going to the Detroit Zoo and being given a stack of like 10 tracts we were to give out BEFORE we were allowed back on the bus. -- I tried giving out one, then threw the rest away-- Same thing when we went to the Tigers game, only this time I was in the upper deck, so I picked a well populated place in the lower deck and let the tracts fall where they may. Lord willing of course.
Some other random observations...
Where were all the men? I mean this one chick just runs this camp or what? that was just weird.
Love the Carmen "Who's In the House" song in the background only because I worked that concert in Toledo and it took me back.
What's up with the tail? Someone tell that kid that those went out in '85. Approximately 10yrs before he was born!
Nice Air America Plug.
Someone tell that Choose Life dude that rocking back and forth does NOT emphasize your point, but takes AWAY from what you're saying! It's distracting dude!
Overall I wasn't as annoyed as I thought I would be. I think I'm going to have to watch it again, with the commentary. Then I'll give my opinion. Oh and final observation, that Ted Haggard dude, was so smug looking how could you not know he wasn't doing something he shouldn't of been.
My first impression is... it's sad. Because these people genuinely have a heart for these kids, and to make a difference. And these kids genuinely want to serve the Lord. It's the fanatical I'm right and your wrong attitude that is getting in the way.
huh... that's all I can say about it right now is huh.
